With one hour-long sessions, a maximum group size of five and plenty of playground space the public courses provide children with a great environment for developing their cycling skills.
For the Learn to Balance and Ride (L2BR) sessions each child is provided with a balance bike and lightweight pedal bike. Helmets are also available if they don’t already have one. Unless your child is balancing on two wheels already or very close to doing so I strongly recommend you book two sessions, ideally on different days. The cost is £34 for two sessions, £21 for one session or £16 if your child has already had two L2BR sessions.
For the Developing Better Bike Control (DBBC) sessions your child must be able to ride already. Children are welcome to use their own bike provided it is roadworthy and of the correct size or they can hire one for £4. One session is normally sufficient for most children. The cost is £17 if using their own bike or £21 if using one of mine.

Children with special needs, unless profound, generally progress well with the public sessions. However private sessions are also available which are slightly longer and of course allow very focused attention in a quieter environment. Parking is available on site at Roundwood Primary School.

Please park in the Primary School car park rather than the sceondary school. Walk towards the main Sports Centre through the large gates (to the sceondary school) and the entrance to the Primary School playground is on the corner, about 50m on your left after going through the large gates.
Cancellations:
In the event of moderate or heavy rain or other inclement weather the sessions will be cancelled and partial of full refunds will be given depending on useful training time achieved.
Cancellations up to 14 days before the session start date will result in a refund of 60% of the fee paid. Cancellations from 14 days to 3 days will result in a 70% refund of the fee paid, provided that I can fill the vacated sessions.
Bookings cannot be transferred to a later time, date or venue in the event of illness or any other reason for non-attendance.

The payment system is powered by Stripe and accepts all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal payments. All 5 products are shown: L2BR 2 Sessions, L2BR Single session, L2BR Additional session, DBBC incl. bike hire, DBBC excl. bike hire. (You may need to click on “Show all 5 items” to reveal the L2BR Additional session product.)
By default all 5 products are shown with a quantity of 1 and hence the price shown is £109. Set the quantities for the course(s) you
don’t want to zero and then set the quantity for the products you do want. You will receive a confirmation email/receipt from Stripe
indicating the payment to Herts Balance and Ride.
