With one hour-long sessions, a maximum group size of five and plenty of playground space the public courses provide children with a great environment for developing their cycling skills.
For the Learn to Balance and Ride (L2BR) sessions each child is provided with a balance bike and lightweight pedal bike. Helmets are also available if they don’t already have one. Unless your child is balancing on two wheels already or very close to doing so I strongly recommend you book two sessions, ideally on different days. The cost is £38 for two sessions, £25 for one session or £19
if your child has already had two L2BR sessions.
For the Developing Better Bike Control (DBBC) sessions your child must be able to ride already. Children are welcome to use their own bike provided it is roadworthy and of the correct size or they can hire for £5. One session is normally sufficient for most children. The cost is £19 if using their own bike or £24 if using one of mine.

Children with special needs, unless profound, generally progress well with the public sessions. However private sessions are also available which are slightly longer and of course allow very focused attention in a quieter environment. Parking is available on site at all four schools

Roundwood Primary School, Harpenden: Google Maps Please park in the Primary School car park rather than the secondary school. Walk through the main gates as though heading to the secondary school and the Sports Centre and follow round to the left. The entrance to the primary school playground is about 60m round on the left, right on the corner.
The Ridgeway Academy, Welwyn Garden City: Google Maps There are two vehicle entrances to the school on Herns Lane, about 30m apart. Use the one furthest away from Appletree Way/Daniells. Follow round to the tennis courts (bottom right of the site when viewed on Google Maps) You can park right next to the tennis courts.
Leavesden Green JMI. Watford: Google Maps The entrance to the car park is on Haines Way. Walk round the side of the Ashbourne Day Nurseries building to access the playground (30m).
Cancellations:
In the event of moderate or heavy rain or other inclement weather the sessions will be cancelled and partial of full refunds will be given depending on useful training time achieved.
Cancellations can be made at no cost up to 21 days before the session start date. Cancellations from 21 days will result in a 70% refund of the fee paid, provided that I can fill the vacated sessions.
Bookings cannot be transferred to a later time, date or venue in the event of illness or any other reason for non-attendance.

All 5 products are shown: L2BR 2 Sessions, L2BR Single session, L2BR Additional session, DBBC – using one of my bikes, DBBC – using own bike. (You may need to click on “Show all 5 items” to reveal the “L2BR Additional session” product.)
By default all 5 products are shown with a quantity of 1 and hence the price shown is £125. Set the quantities for the course(s) you don’t want to zero and then set the quantity for the products you do want.
